Appointment

Your first appointment – step by step

  1. Listening

As a first step, let's talk about the story of the problem and how I can help solve it in a holistic way. That may be through pain relief, or by removing restrictions and gaining mobility.

  2. Examination

Before any first treatment begins, let's check everything thoroughly. This takes around 20 minutes and is the reason the first appointment takes longer. Please let us know if you have medical documentation we should include.

  3. Chiropractic adjustment

By specifically adjusting the individual vertebral bodies, we not only increase the range of motion of the segments, but also stimulate your nervous system to relieve pain. Better posture and movement lead to a healthier nervous and musculoskeletal system and to more quality of life.

How can I ensure a successful initial treatment?

Please arrive approximately 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment for your first treatment. If you booked online, you can alternatively bring the documents provided for your appointment printed and filled out. Feel free to contact us with any questions before your appointment.

If you have any medical records that we should consider, please bring them to your first appointment.

Can chiropractic help with pregnancy discomforts?
Aimee Carroll gently treating the back of a patient lying comfortably on the special pregnancy pillow.

Many expectant mothers come to us with lower-back pain or pelvic discomfort – especially as posture and load shift with the growing belly. Gentle, individually adapted care can help ease this and is well suited to every stage of pregnancy. It uses, among others, the Webster technique by the ICPA, and a special pregnancy pillow with a cut-out for the belly lets you lie comfortably and safely even with a baby bump.

What are Aimee Carroll's experiences as chiropractor?

Aimee Carroll has completed 16 semester of international chiropractic university studies with the degree of ‘Doctor of Chiropractic’ at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in the USA. With over a decade of experience spanning three different countries (USA, Ireland, and Germany), she possesses a profound understanding of diverse chiropractic treatment methods, going beyond the most common approaches.

As insured individual, what should I be aware of?

Please note that our fees cannot conform to those actually paid by your insurance. The agreed treatment costs, which generally follow the standard costs for Heilpraktiker, are unrelated to insurance or assistance charges.

Is billing done immediately after the treatment?

Yes, billing is done immediately after the treatment. Please pay conveniently and exclusively with credit or debit card.

How can I support my body after the first treatment?

After treatment, it's advisable to rest for a while and avoid sports, gardening, and heavy household chores for about one to two days.

It's recommended to take a short walk after treatment instead of immediately getting into your car. Five minutes is sufficient.

You may experience muscle soreness after treatment. This is a normal reaction and usually fades within two to three days.

Remember to drink plenty of fluids after your appointment. Water and tea are best.

If you've been given or demonstrated exercise instructions, please try to perform them at home as best as possible. The exercises are meant to support healing and recovery.
